Known as the “Queen of the Steaks”, these delicious, fatty steaks are the pride and joy of Brazilian steakhouses. Also known as a Coulotte cut or rump cover, picanha steaks are a richly flavored slice of meat taken from the top of the rump. Unfortunately, though often referred to as life-changing, this cut is not something you’ll find at your local butcher shop. It takes a master’s touch to reach the proper fat-to-flesh ratio this product requires. When you do find a picanha steak, it’s probably not going to be half as nice as what we offer. Like all our meats, this product is certified zabiha halal. But it’s the type of cow it s sourced from that really makes a difference. As close to Japanese origin as you can get, every ounce of these steaks is harvested from a full-blooded Wagyu. The associated beef marbling score takes this already tender cut’s softness and ratchets it up to 11.
